Lately I have found many of my clients are at a point that they have
lost confidence in their skills and background. The question their capabilities! STOP! Don't do that
to yourself. Each person has incredible talents and skills that they bring to the table. Here is an exercise I
give many of my clients...very simple! You are a super heroine! Give your self a name..."Dynamo Donna!"
Draw a circle and put your name in the circle and then draw 3 lines out from you name and attach to each line a "super
power" you possess. Super powers are things that you can do because of your talent, experiences, passion and interests...these
powers set you apart. Then draw 3 lines from each of the super powers and right down WHY these are unique to you!
So Dynamo Donna writes down her super powers are public speaking, coaching, and intuition for people and ideas...then
she would take each one and ask the question, why?
Example:
Dynamo Donna--------Public
Speaking ------Funny and entertaining, Great perspective on the topics I am speaking on, and ability
to engage the entire room.
Do that for each of the "super
powers." Be more descriptive if you want to be. Then sit back and reflect on this and then think about does
your resume reflect these super powers? Are you networking and sharing those powers with others? Are you in a
job that does not utilize those powers.
Call me of write me your
thoughts!
