Think About It! Our Power! A Quote by Marianne Williamson

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

Women and Politics
Last night I went to friend's house for dinner and we sat by their pool with 2 other couples, laughing and relaxing.  Somehow the topic of politics came up and my ears perked up too.  I love a good discussion on politics, although many say it is taboo in a social setting. My husband always jabs me under the table because he thinks I am starting trouble...who me I say?  What was great is that two of the couples were registered Republican and the other two couples were registered as Democats.  It was really fascinating as we touched on the gas prices, small business challenges, the war, the candidates and more.  I think the biggest learning I had was that it is amazing when the public becomes aware of an issue, like the gas issue, and sends a message to Washington...action takes place.  If we not aware and don't care, many decisions are made that if we were aware we would not be in favor of because it is not realistic to the average citizen. So with that said, whatever party affiliation or no party affiliation...get out and register to vote.  It is your right and it does matter.  Understand the issues, it does make a difference to you and your family.  Don't be afraid to have a good discussion with friends and colleagues, that is how we learn and grow. ...I learned a lot last night but I also provided a lot of insight.
Register to Vote...and Vote in November.
